What is CCX Surface Ready?
Surface Ready is a C10 surface pretreatment designed to remove oils, grease, fingerprints and other contamination before compatible primer, paint or protective-coating processes.
Why is uniform wetting important?
Uniform wetting provides an indication that contamination has been removed consistently. Reduced beading and a water-break-free surface can provide a more dependable foundation for the subsequent coating process.
Is Surface Ready a replacement for panel wipe?
It can perform the cleaning and preparation role where it is compatible with the selected coating system. The paint, coating or equipment manufacturer’s specified preparation process always takes precedence.
Does it replace etching, conversion coating or primer?
No. Surface Ready should not be presented as replacing an etch, conversion coating, primer or other required preparation stage unless the relevant coating system expressly permits it.
What materials can it be used on?
It is intended for suitable metals, composites and other compatible paintable substrates. Unfamiliar materials, plastics and existing finishes should be tested before wider application.
How should Surface Ready be applied?
Use the specified fresh deionised water, clean equipment and clean lint-free cloths. Apply an even film to a manageable area, remove the loosened contamination before the solution dries and allow the prepared surface to dry fully before coating.
Does CCX Surface Ready carry an aerospace or manufacturer approval?
An approval associated with underlying technology or another supplier product does not automatically transfer to the CCX-branded formulation. An approval should be quoted only when the final CCX product, concentration and supporting evidence are formally confirmed as covered.
